The Process:

Pair up in groups of 3-4. You will have 3 class periods to work on this project, in the 4th class you will be presenting your findings.

The presentation can take any form you wish (powerpoint, prezi, posters, etc.), and you will have 5-6 minutes for your presentation on day 4. Each group member must take some part in the presentation (ie, everyone should have a chance to speak), as well as each group member must take equal responsibility for the work during the making of the presentation. Be creative!

Day 1: Form groups of 3-4. As a group, review the links in the Background Information tab to get yourselves aquainted with the topic at hand.

Day 2: Continue research, find evidence, compile findings. You should begin putting your presentation together.

Day 3: FInish research and put together your final presentation. If there is time, practice your presentation with your group. Remember, each group member should have a chance to speak.

Day 4: Presentation day! Bring in your presentation saved on a USB stick, as a web link, or whatever form you chose.

Overview of  what your presentation must include:

1. Three impacts of climate change on our planet, supported with evidence

2. Ways to reduce to these three impacts   (note: these will not be absolute solutions, I am simply looking for ways in which we can REDUCE the problem)

3. Personal changes that YOU can do to reduce the impacts of climate change

Helpful hints:

Newspaper articles are available to you online! Use your googling skills to find helpful articles to support your findings.

Can't think of ways you can personally make a change?

Think of your daily life and how you could possibly live "greener"!
